- Eligibility Criteria
- Could be an individual or an organization
- Work should be directly related to Basic Education and Literacy - awareness / sensitization / direct contribution / significant change etc.
- Should be currently active and or involved in this field
- Work should have been consistent over the period of last 5 years
- Should have not received any major State/National/International recognitions or awards
- Work must be national. Additionally, work could be international
- Should not be a member of Rotary / Inner Wheel Clubs or blood relative of any Rotary/ Rotaract/ Inner Wheel member
- In case of organization, any member of Governing Board should not be a member of any Rotary / Rotaract / Inner Wheel club
Candidate should be working towards :
- Support programs that strengthen the capacity of communities to provide basic education and literacy to all
- Working to reduce gender disparity in education
- Supporting studies for career-minded professionals related to basic education and literacy
- Community work should be related to any one or more of the following avenues -
- Teacher Training,
- E Learning,
- Adult Literacy,
- Child Development (Back to school programs) and
- Happy School (School development program)
- Any other work directly related to Education and Literacy
